Dr. Willie Parker, who is trained as a gynecologist and OBGYN, is a hero for the pro-choice movement because he’s honest about the undiscussed aspects of getting (or not getting) an abortion. Watch how he gives a consultation.
That last statement about regret is so important, because so many people don’t understand what it is or what causes it. Anti-choicers exploit this by manipulating pregnant people and creating doubt, which only increases the likelihood of regret, no matter what decision the pregnant person makes. You know what is best for you, even if it takes some time to figure it out.
Psychologists usually use them to assess someone’s personality characteristics and emotional functioning. They’ve also been used to identify any kind of a thought disorder, especially when patients are reluctant to talk about their thinking processes openly.
Please note that an inkblot test ALONE cannot decipher someone’s personality, emotional functioning, or thinking process.
I want to draw your attention to the second gif. Although Loki has pushed Jane to safety, his next move is trying to sheild her with his body before he is sucked towards the grenade. Both of his action here, pushing Jane away and then trying to shield her, are instinctual, without barely conscious thought behind them. He could save himself in the little time he sees the grenade. He had enough time for that. But that’s not his first instinct. His first instinct is to push Jane to safety. This shows these action born out of habit. They are born out of centuries of doing the same things. And it shows who Loki really is. Always protecting his teammates when he can, just like how he protected Fandral in the fight with Jotuns.
Holy shit I never noticed that he was starting to shield her in that second gif! And it’s so clear that it’s an instinctual thing, which is why I’ll never understand why so many marvel fans think Loki’s “always been evil.” Any of his villainous actions are drastically out of the ordinary compared to all the centuries of his life before and come from extreme heartbreak and trauma. His default isn’t villainy - it’s what we see in the above scene.
